The Nintendo DS was at work one day, sitting on the counter, waiting to be booted up when it looked at itself in the mirror. It asked itself, "Am I really happy?"
The quick answer was yes. And why shouldn't he be? The Nintendo DS was hugely successful and popular despite critics, warnings, and doubt. But that wasn't the problem. It turns out the DS was a little self conscious. The DS wanted to go on a diet.
Come June 11, American gamers will be able to purchase the new Nintendo DS Lite for $129.99. DS Lite boasts a sleeker, lighter design with a brighter screen. The first shippment to hit shelves will be colored "polar white." After one week in Japan, two different hues of blue were released.
Nintendo has also ramped up their production of the DS Lite. Americans will not have to wait outside in lines.
